IN SHORT
- A few cookies help us see how otley.me is used, so we can improve it, and keep your chat with us between visits.
- No advertising cookies, and nothing that follows you to other sites.
- Block them in your browser any time. The site works just the same.
02What we use them for
- Measuring visits: which pages are viewed and which buttons are clicked. They remember your browser between visits, so we can count people rather than page loads.
- Recordings of visits: how people move through the pages, so we can spot what’s confusing. What you type is never recorded.
- The chat: remembers your browser, so a conversation with us is still there when you come back.
- Your theme: your browser remembers whether you picked light or dark.
03What we don’t do
We don’t use advertising cookies, we don’t follow you across other sites, and we never sell what we learn. Our Privacy Policy explains how the data is handled.
04How to control them
You can block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings, which vary by browser and device. otley.me works the same without them; only your theme choice and any open chat are forgotten.
06Changes
When this policy changes, we update the date at the top of the page.
